FRANCOIS HENRI
Montreal, Ottawa and surrounding areas
President and founder of HENRI Investigations Inc., native of Longueuil, Quebec, François brings with him 36 years of experience as an investigator. He started his Career with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in 1982 when he was transferred to Manitoba where he spent his next 28 years doing criminal investigations.
In 2009 he was transferred to Montreal where he acquired experience in administrative investigations with the professional standard investigating team and throughout, he managed over 200 employees in total.
He had the opportunity to work with the United Nations in Haiti and participated in several major event in Canada, namely the last G7 that took place in Charlevoix, Québec.
François is a trainer for the Investigator course in complaint of harassment and is a teacher in the national program Return to Mental Readiness. He has a private and commercial mediation certificate as well as being trained in conflict resolution.
François was evaluated as perfectly bilingual by the Canadian Federal Government. François has his private investigator license for the province of Quebec.
JAEL HENRI
Ottawa, Gatineau, Montreal and surrounding areas
With a background in both management and the non-profit sector Jael entered investigative work with HENRI Investigations after 6 years of completing internal investigations. Supporting staff in a high-risk working environment where violence and threats of harm were an anticipated part of the job highlighted the importance of listening to the voice of employees and prioritizing preventative safety.
After completing many training programs focussed on trauma she applies a trauma-responsive approach to her investigations and assessments. She uses her training, and background in counseling to create a safe and judgement free interview experience for all parties.
Jael is committed to procedural fairness and holds the integrity of her work at the core of her investigations. She enjoys supporting clients in determining the root cause(s) of why harassment or violence occurred in their workplace and producing creative and relevant recommendations that make sense for their team.
Jael believes that workplaces should not only feel safe for most employees but BE physically and psychologically safe for ALL employees. Individuals are responsible for the impact of their actions and words at work, and both investigations and assessments can assist employers in ensuring there’s accountability, and action taken to prevent future harm.

CARA MCMILLAN
Vancouver, Kelowna and surrounding areas
Cara McMillan had 28 years of policing experience when she retired as a Sergeant from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Her experience included general duty policing, drug investigations, commercial crime and fraud investigations, and Federal Serious and Organized Crime.
During the last several years of her career, Cara was a harassment investigator, a peer to peer advisor, a restorative justice facilitator and a respectful workplace advisor. She was the Non-Commissioned Officer in charge of the Respectful Workplace Unit in the Southeast District when she retired and has continued conducting human resource related investigations since her retirement.
Cara has also played a key role in improving the mental health of RCMP employees. She was on the Board of Directors with the Canadian Mental Health Association in Kelowna, BC and taught the Road to Mental Readiness course to RCMP employees and supervisors throughout the Province of British Columbia. Her education includes a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and she has completed several courses in mediation, restorative justice, and conflict resolution. She is a keen supporter of making the workplace a safe environment for everyone
DARREN ARNDT
Winnipeg and surrounding areas
Darren Arndt has over 30 years of investigative experience gained through both the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and the private sector. He served in the RCMP for twenty-five years in a wide range of leadership and criminal investigative roles including general duty policing, homicide, international customs and excise, and drug investigations.
In addition, Darren has extensive experience in specialized financial and fraud investigations, which include: assisting several European Union law enforcement agencies with fraud cases, conducting internal employee investigations, and organized crime financial examinations. Transitioning from the RCMP to the private sector, Darren has since worked for several large Canadian insurance and investment companies. His experience includes all types of employee investigations, internal insurance and investment frauds, and employee compliance reviews.
Darren is a dedicated life-long learner and has a Bachelor of Arts with Honours degree from the University of Saskatchewan along with two leadership certificates from Dalhousie University and Athabasca University. His education includes numerous human resource courses in mediation, harassment and workplace conflict. He is a designated Certified Fraud Examiner with the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
CONAL ARCHER
Calgary, Red Deer and surrounding areas
Conal is an experienced investigator and risk management specialist. His signature performance is that of quality and thoroughness. Conal has over 28 years of experience in criminal, regulatory and civil investigations including investigation and management as an RCMP officer and as a Senior Manager at the multinational professional services and chartered accounting firm, Ernst and Young LLP.
Conal was a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police for over 24 years. He has extensive experience in Provincial, Federal and First Nations policing and has served Canadians on Detachment in Alberta, Manitoba, and had special assignments with major event security in Alberta, Ontario and in British Columbia. He spent over 10 years in Federal Policing including assignments in Commercial Crime Section, Federal and Serious Organized Crime, National Security, and VIP Protective Services.
Conal conducts Respect in the Workplace investigations, fraud examinations, e-Discovery, and project manages digital forensic and forensic accounting engagements for organizations including government, law firms, corporations and Health Profession’s Act Regulatory bodies in Western Canada.
CRAIG MCMILLAN
Vancouver, Kelowna, and Winnipeg
Craig McMillan retired from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police as a Sergeant with over 31 years of policing. He has performed both uniformed and plain clothes duties in several sections. He has been qualified as an expert witness in over 15 different types of drugs in British Columbia Provincial and Supreme Courts. Craig spent the last 18 years of his career in Professional Standards and was the senior internal investigator for the RCMP having conducted workplace investigations in multiple provinces and territories across Canada.
Craig has conducted workplace investigations for both municipal police and indigenous police agencies in British Columbia. Craig has been a primary facilitator on the RCMP’s Workplace Responsibility Investigators Course since the enactment of the new RCMP Act in 2014 and has facilitated training across Canada. He is a trained harassment investigator and an instructor/trainer in ethics. Craig has been involved with the development of policy relating to internal investigations at both the provincial and national level. Craig also assisted in the development of the RCMP’s online Conduct Authority Course.
Craig has a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from the University of Manitoba. He has been a member of the National Internal Affairs Investigators Association (NIAIA) in the United States for 18 years and has served on both the Regional and National Executive Committees. Craig is currently elected to the position of Recording Secretary for the NIAIA.
MAXIME BOUTIN
Montreal, Quebec City and Ottawa
Maxime Boutin is a Senior Workplace Investigator specializing in Harassment, Violence and Wrongdoing. He is a retired former Federal Government Executive and was the Officer in Charge of the Employee Relations Section for several years. Within this role, Maxime investigated high profile, sensitive, and contentious complaints made against the Federal Government by analyzing policies and interpreting internal/ external Act and related legislative processes in the areas of conduct, discipline, harassment, administrative/ probationary discharge, and human rights. He coordinated organizational responses on behalf of the government for the disposition of disputes, investigations, and reviews and actively contributed to the improvement of service standards and procedures which promoted the consistent application of national policies, including three national policy centres: Office for the Coordination of Harassment Complaints, Employment Requirements, and Human Rights.
Maxime also developed and oversaw training in the areas of Workplace Relations, Harassment, and Employment Standards, developed and approved research projects and contributed to building related databases, and oversaw the creation of a reporting management system for the RCMP Professional Responsibility Sector.
As an Investigator and Supervisor for the Sensitive & International Investigations unit with the government, Maxime directed and conducted financial crimes investigations in the areas of bankruptcy, securities, income taxes, corporate/ business fraud, counterfeiting, corruption of officials, organized white collar crime, proceeds of crime, and money laundering. He liaised with key stakeholders, including the Bank of Canada, Office of Parliament, Privy Council Office, Policing Agencies, Swiss Authorities, the FBI, ICE, and many others, established community-based policing measures, and trained and supervised subordinates.
DANNY CANTIN
Sherbrooke and surrounding areas
Danny Cantin has been involved in the workplace investigative sector since 2018 and has an in-depth knowledge of laws, policies and regulations governing labour relations. His possesses certifications on administrative investigation techniques, report writing, human rights laws, trauma-informed approach, occupational health and safety, harassment and violence prevention, and more.
Danny’s background consists of experiences which all greatly contributed to consolidating the set of skills needed to be an honest, meticulous, impartial and attentive investigator. On the educational side, he completed a doctorate (PhD) in Science, more specifically in the physiological branch of medical research, with a global academic rating of 4.3/4.3 (A+). He published eight scientific articles in internationally renowned peer-reviewed journals and presented his research in more than 25 congresses worldwide, winning several awards and grants. He is also a former college biology professor, teaching physiology classes to students in different programs and updating courses with the latest knowledge.
Furthermore, Danny volunteered during several years in a non-profit organization in the sports community and ended director. He was responsible for the management of the organization (more than 600 members), and among numerous other tasks, the hiring, the training and the supervision of the staff (22 employees). Danny is perfectly bilingual (English and French) and has the Government of Canada Reliability Status.
AMY MACLEOD
Atlantic Canada
As a highly motivated retired educator with 29+ years of experience as a teacher, vice-principal, principal and senior manager (Nova Scotia Public Education System), Amy’s proven record of excellence in education and high standards have contributed to her overall success. As a professional, Amy has extensive interviewing and investigative experience as a senior administrator in handling workplace violence and harassment complaints, bullying, cyberbullying, breakdown in communication, work performance and mental health.
As a lifelong learner, Amy has been committed to remaining current in her practice through on-going professional development, enhanced courses and workshops ensuring that her work reflects a 21st century model of cultural responsiveness, equity, and fairness. This also includes a high degree of competency and training in systemic racism, understanding trauma in indigenous communities, race relations and cross-cultural human rights and understanding, as well as occupational health and safety.
Amy’s educational journey includes a Bachelor of Education, Master in Education (Administration) and Master in Literacy Education. In 2014, Amy was nationally recognized as one of Canada’s Outstanding Principals’. She has received certification in Investigating Allegations of Harassment and Sexual Harassment from the Workplace Institute and has completed the Labour and Employment Law course from Royal Roads University in British Columbia.
Amy brings integrity and accountability to the investigative process that promotes a safe and equitable workplace environment where all voices are counted. To this end, Amy strongly believes in bringing parties together with the goal of fostering a positive restorative and resolution outcome.
KATHLEEN SCHEER
Ottawa, Gatineau, and surrounding areas
Kathleen transitioned to the field of administrative investigative work following a complimentary career shift after fourteen years in the Social Services sector. Kathleen possesses her undergrad and Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW). Her experience is diverse, both within the private and public sector; child welfare (including Alternative Dispute Resolution [ADR] and mediation), clinical mental health, and community development. Her combined education, training and practical experiences as a registered Social Worker have contributed to her comprehensive understanding of trauma informed practices, investigative interventions, psychological safety in the workplace, and reflexive exercises for challenging personal bias. She believes these areas of focus are critical in conducting an investigation that is thorough, timely, and neutral.
Kathleen prides herself on being detailed in her assessments of discrimination, violence, and harassment. For over a decade, she has been examining and employing safety and preventative interventions for clients. In turn, Kathleen is meticulous in her identification of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and offers meaningful recommendations for lasting change(s).
Kathleen is committed to ongoing learning in the field of investigative work and recognizes the importance of staying informed and current with the evolving practices and legislation. She is a member of the Association for Workplace Investigators and engages in regular trainings and offerings.
KRYSTLE FOUNTOTOS

With a background in management Krystle entered investigative work with HENRI Investigations after completing 10 years of internal investigations within the non-profit sector. The internal investigation under which Krystle worked was in accordance with the Canadian Human Rights Act and the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act. Krystle managed staff in a high-risk working environment where violence and threats of harm were an anticipated part of the job highlighted the importance of listening to the voice of employees and prioritizing preventative safety.
Due to the nature of Krystle’s previous roles, she has completed numerous trainings and certificate programs surrounding trauma and counselling within the workplace. Kristen Cliche

After 10 years of management and training experience within the yoga and health industry, Kristen joined the HENRI Investigations team to further her experience and knowledge conducting workplace investigations and assessments. With her experience within the health industry, Kristen brings a unique skill set and perspective to the field of administrative investigations.
As an administrative investigator, Kristen holds a deep commitment to conducting fair and impartial investigations. Recognizing the significance of procedural fairness, Kristen ensures that all investigations are conducted with the utmost professionalism and adherence to the highest ethical standards. She understands the importance of all parties feeling secure and respected and maintains an impartial stance throughout her work.
With Kristen’s extensive management experience, she possess exceptional leadership and organizational skills. This allows Kristen to handle complex investigations efficiently and effectively. Kristen holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and is committed to ongoing education and adherence to best practices to ensure that her clients receive the highest quality of investigative services.
